Jillian Morley - Personal Counselling
I am situated in Noosaville on the Sunshine Coast. I can help with issues related to stress, anxiety, relationship coaching, pre-marriage counselling, emotional crisis, self-esteem and confidence, grief, bereavement, family and other mediation.
A large part of what a counsellor does involves active and careful listening. We make sure the person has recognised the problem areas in their own terms, and we help them find a strategy to work out what they will do next. There are no hard and fast rules and it is non- judgemental. You can say whatever you like. When something goes wrong, it is usually because we are pushing ourselves too hard, because we are in a difficult situation we don’t fully understand or because we are suffering some form of mental distress which is distorting our view of reality. Many of our problems arise just because we are human - we all make mistakes and have to learn from them. Needing help is a normal part of this process.
While I specialise in Women’s Counselling, this should not deter men or couples from making an appointment .
I also offer several somatic stress reduction/body based therapy techniques which may help to relieve initial stress and upset, enabling the client to be more receptive to counselling.
